Qi Gong

Where feng shui is concerned with our environment and our place within it, Qi Gong addresses the physical aspect of our being, through movement. Both modalities are based on Daoism (there is also Buddhist qi gong but I personally practise Daoist Medical Qi Gong) and therefore the theory and origin behind both is the same –I Ching, Tao Te Ching, yin and yang, 5 Elements. The aim of Qi Gong is to rejuvenate, maintain and sustain a healthy, supple body.

In Qi Gong we view our bodies as the microcosm of our macrocosm. We understand that our thought patterns and emotionality have a direct impact on the circulation of chi around our body and therefore our organs and organ systems. Through focused movement guided by our breath we address the meridians and organs, we develop a supple spine and a clear qi circulation throughout our bodies.
